Evan Daniels on Hamidou Diallo, outlook on 2017 class

12/27/2016 08:30 PM

Kentucky once again has the No. 1 recruiting class (for now) in 2017 and they are currently hosting one of the most interesting prospects in the 2017 class, Hamidou Diallo.

Diallo is a five-star shooting guard who is rated by all major services as one of the best players in the country. He graduated high school last spring and is currently in a postgraduate year, meaning he is eligible for the 2017 NBA draft. Diallo has stressed multiple times that he stills wants to attend college before going pro, but for how long? If he wants, Diallo could enroll at a school this coming semester and play or practice with the school he chooses (likely Kentucky, Arizona or UCONN) for one semester before going pro.

We talked with Evan Daniels of Fox Sports 1 and Scout.com about Diallo’s interesting situation and what power forward Jarred Vanderbilt brings to the class.
