Eat It Up: UK's a team of Brotherly Love

“Too many egos.”

“Not enough minutes.”

“A disaster waiting to happen.”

Those are some of the criticisms Kentucky and Coach Calipari received at the beginning of the 2014-2015 season after deciding to run a platoon system.

Despite having the opportunity to play more minutes at other schools, UK’s incoming freshmen and upperclassmen chose to instead come to UK with a different goal in mind: winning a national championship.

At other programs, a platoon system might tear individual players and coaches apart, but the brotherhood all the Wildcats share allows the team to play better as a whole.
