Does Kentucky Football have a cupcake 2015 non-conference schedule?

LEXINGTON — The University of Kentucky football team is trying to make its first bowl game in five years this season.
Will a “cupcake” non-conference schedule help the Wildcats get over the hump?
Fox Sports released a list yesterday of the 10 softest non-conference schedules for the upcoming 2015 season, and Kentucky came in at No. 10.
The Wildcats’ non-conference schedule consists of Sun Belt foe LA-Lafayette for the season opener (Sept. 5), in-state team Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 3), Conference USA’s Charlotte 49ers (Nov. 21), and archrival Louisville to finish the regular season (Nov. 28).
The two biggest knocks against Kentucky’s non-conf. slate are playing one FCS team (EKU) and all four games at the friendly confines of Commonwealth Stadium.
But, upon further inspection, the schedule isn’t as easy as it looks on paper.
LA-Lafayette, Eastern Kentucky, and Louisville all finished 2014 with identical 9-4 records, with the Ragin’ Cajuns even ending the year with a 16-3 victory over Nevada in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl — something Kentucky hasn’t done since 2008 (a 25-19 Liberty Bowl victory over East Carolina).
Louisville, who ended the Wildcats’ hopes for a bowl bid in the 2014 season finale, also finished the year ranked No. 21 in the final College Football Playoff poll.
Here’s Fox Sports full “soft schedule” list:
10. Kentucky (SEC)

KSTV discussed Kentucky’s 2015 non-conference schedule on Wednesday’s show, explaining why the Cats will need to stay on their toes, especially week one against the dangerous Ragin’ Cajuns.
