Discussing Tyler Ulis' hip injury

06/15/2016 07:45 PM

It was reported yesterday by Basketball Insiders that Tyler Ulis has a hip injury that could require surgery in the future. Reporter Steve Kyler said, “A medical red flag combined with his size, Ulis could slide deep into the first round or even over into the second depending on how team medical staffs view his situation.”

Mark and Bradley discussed the impact that Tyler Ulis’ hip injury could have on his draft stock and where he may end up. Ulis is currently projected to go in the second round by DraftExpress (34th pick-Phoenix Suns). ESPN’s Chad Forde has Ulis as a mid-first round pick (19th pick-Denver Nuggets). Keep in mind that in 2014 Julius Randle was reported to have a foot problem right before the draft that some believed would hinder his draft stock. He ended up getting picked seventh by the Lakers.

Ulis did work out for the Chicago Bulls today and has not commented on the report of injury.
