Derek Willis Shines in Reese's All-Star Game

Derek Willis made the most of his final opportunity in a Kentucky uniform on Friday night. The senior was named the MVP of the West team in the Reese’s All-Star Game in Phoenix, Arizona.

Willis had 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds. The East beat the West 121-90.

The game featured 20 of the top seniors in the country. Willis is the first Kentucky player to participate in the game since its inception in 2009.

The Mt. Washington, Kentucky native finished his Kentucky career with 555 points scored, 354 rebounds and 108 three-point field goals made. He shot 39.8 percent from the three-point line, which ranks 12th in program history.
