Hard work has paid off for Dakari Johnson. After spending his first two professional seasons in the NBA’s G-League with the Oklahoma City Blue, the Oklahoma City Thunder are calling Johnson up to the NBA, signing him to a two-year deal. That’s according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

Johnson was drafted 48th overall by Oklahoma City in the 2015 draft. He was named a G-League All-Star and a member of the All-NBA G-League first team last season. He averaged 18.5 points and 7.9 rebounds for the Blue.

Most recently, he played in the NBA’s Orlando Summer League, averaging 18 points and 5.5 rebounds while displaying his ability to step away from the basket and handle the ball.
