Cleveland Cavaliers Win NBA Draft Lottery

05/21/2013 08:35 PM

For the second time in three years, the Cleveland Cavaliers emerged victorious from the NBA Draft Lottery, earning the right to make the first pick in the June 27 NBA Draft. That pick, according to most experts, is expected to be former Kentucky center Nerlens Noel, who is currently rehabbing from a torn ACL suffered during his freshman season.

However, reports are now circulating that the Cavaliers plan to explore trade options for the top overall pick, meaning Nerlens’ destination may not yet be known. However, as of now, Draft Express projects the former UK big man to be taken with the first overall pick by Cleveland and UK teammate Archie Goodwin to finish off the first round by going to Phoenix at #30 overall.

Be sure to watch KSTV Wednesday as we break down the potential destinations for UK’s NBA-bound duo.
