C.J. Conrad named to Mackey Award Preseason Watch List

Kentucky junior tight end C.J. Conrad has been named to the 2017 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List. The award is given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.

The LaGrange, Ohio started in 11 of 13 games for Kentucky last season. He caught 19 balls for 262 yards and four touchdowns. Most of that production came against New Mexico State. Against the Aggies, Conrad caught five passes for 133 yards and three touchdowns. He was named the John Mackey Tight End of the Week after that performance.

Expectations for Conrad are high this season, as Kentucky’s offense hopes to get the tight ends more involved in the passing game.
