After a disappointing end to what was a storybook season, First Team All-American Willie Cauley-Stein has had a few weeks to rest and reflect on what could have been.

But there’s no use in dwelling on the past, and Cauley-Stein says he’s now shifted his attention to the future — the NBA.

The junior forward already decided to forgo his senior season at the University of Kentucky to enter his name in the NBA Draft along with six other of his Wildcat teammates.

As of now, most draft simulations have Cauley-Stein going in the lottery, landing anywhere between the fourth and tenth overall picks.

After throwing a ceremonial first-pitch heater at the Lexington Legends game on Thursday night, Cauley-Stein took a few minutes to talk about his draft preparations and why it was beneficial to take some time off after the season.
