Cats Pick Up Wide Receiver Commitment

Joker Phillips and his staff picked up their eleventh commitment for 2013 this morning when Greensboro, Alabama wide receiver Jevontey Smith picked Kentucky, according to Steve Jones of CatsIllustrated.com. The 6’1” wideout is rated as a two-star prospect by Scout.com and had an offer from only Middle Tennessee State, though Auburn, Tennessee, Illinois and Princeton were showing interest. As a junior, Smith had 18 receptions for 248 yards and four touchdowns. He also carried 14 times for 116 yards.
