Cats Open The Season With 50-point Win Over Marist

It was closer than John Calipari liked in the first half as his team entered the intermission with only a nine-point lead over the team predicted to finish last in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. But Kentucky played like the second-ranked team in the country in the final twenty minutes, eventually winning 108-58. The Cats received a combined 68 points from their highly regarded freshman class, including a team-high 23 from Anthony Davis, who also added 10 rebounds to become only the third player in school history (Terrence Jones, Sam Bowie) to open his career with a double-double.
Make sure you tune into KSTV Monday to hear what the players and coaches were saying after the win….and what they have to say about their big game with Kansas Tuesday.
