With the basketball season now officially over, Big Blue Nation returns its focus back to the UK football team.
The gridiron Cats will hold their final open practice to fans and media of the spring at 12:00 p.m. ET at the Tim Couch fields on Saturday and will rap up camp until the fall later next week.
After crawling to the finish line last season, UK Football dedicated this spring to becoming a bowl-caliber team by making changes to both its offensive and defensive schemes.
Shannon Dawson came in to versify the offense as its new coordinator, and D.J. Eliot switched to a 3-4 scheme in hopes of improving the Cats’ 75th-ranked defense from 2014.
KSTV took a trip down I-64 to speak with the Kentucky coaches and players today to find out where they’ve seen the biggest improvements over the past few weeks.
