Cats escape with double-overtime win over A&M

If the Ole Miss game didn’t give you a heart attack, today’s showdown with Texas A&M did everything it could to make that the case.
The Aggies jumped out to a quick 9-0 start on the Cats and continued to make life difficult throughout the game for the Cats, taking a 28-25 lead behind a balanced offensive attack. The Cats outscored A&M by the same score in the second half and the teams played to a 4-4 tie in the first overtime.
But, with Willie Cauley-Stein and Karl-Anthony Towns fouled out of the game, Tyler Ulis hit a clutch three and Dakari Johnson made all six of his free throws to put away the Aggies. Johnson finished with 8 points (all in the second overtime) and 9 rebounds, to go with Devin Booker’s 18 points.
