Catching up with former Wildcat Champ Kelly

Spectrum News’ Lyndsey Gough spent the afternoon hanging out with former Kentucky football player Champ Kelly in Lexington. Kelly played wide receiver and defensive back for Kentucky from 1998-2001. He is now the Director of Pro Scouting for the Chicago Bears. Kelly talked with Gough about his thoughts on the Kentucky football and his role developing and scouting players in the Chicago Bears organization.

In 2010, Kelly and his wife founded a nonprofit organization called Heart Power Inc. The organization funds the “C.H.A.M.P” camp, which takes place every summer in Lexington. The goal of the camp is to “teach campers football and Ultimate fundamentals while educating campers on important core values of a successful life.”

The camp will be June 16-17 at Tates Creek High School from 8:00am-1:00pm. Kelly talked with Gough more about his camp:
