Rumors surfaced over the weekend, but Kentucky head coach John Calipari confirmed it on Monday:

UK assistant coach Barry Rohrssen is leaving Big Blue Nation for the Red Storm.

According to a series of Calipari tweets, Coach Slice will join Chris Mullin’s staff at Saint John’s University as an assistant.

The Red Storm hired Chris Mullin as its new head coach last week, and he’s bringing Rohrrsen back to his New York stomping grounds to secure recruiting throughout the Big Apple.

Calipari understudy and former Auburn head coach Tony Barbee is one of the front-runners to fill Slice’s vacancy. Barbee is currently serving on the UK staff as a “special assistant to the head coach.”

KSTV will update you with more details of Rohrssen’s move once Saint John’s has made an official announcement.
