CANTON, OH — After being the No. 21 overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft this year, big expectations surrounded former Wildcat Alvin “Bud” Dupree before his professional debut with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Unfortunately, the rookie outside linebacker struggled to find his footing once on the field, totaling just two total tackles (one solo) in three quarters of play in the preseason-opening Hall of Fame game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night.

First-game jitters are expected for a first-year player, especially for one selected as high in the draft as Dupree, but the overall consensus online was that newest Steeler has a lot of work to do before Pittsburgh kicks off the 2015 regular season on September 10 against the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots:

Bud will get a chance to redeem himself on Friday, August 14, when the Steelers play its second preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
