For this first time since 2014, UK football fans had a chance to enjoy a spring game at Commonwealth Stadium and the announced crowd of over 28,000 was treated to a slew of big plays.

After a slow and scoreless first half, Drew Barker connected with Ryan Timmons for a 64-yard touchdown pass to give the Blue team a 10-0 lead. A pair of touchdown runs by Sihiem King and Ditalian Tobler would put the White squad on top, 13-10, before Barker connected with CJ Conrad on a 19-yard pass to give the Blue team a 17-13 lead at the break.

The second half saw wideout Jeff Badet score a pair of touchdowns, the first being an 85-yard connection on a screen pass from quarterback Stephen Johnson, and the second coming from Gunnar Hoak. The Blue team would walk away with a 31-20 win.

For the game, Barker finished with 156 yards and 2 touchdowns on 12-18 passing, while Johnson was 6-13 for 135 yards and a score. Jojo Kemp led all rushers with 67 yards on 9 carries and Badet was the top receiver with 107 yards on 3 catches. Ryan Timmons added 99 yards and a touchdown on his three receptions.
