Biggest takeaways from Kentucky's win over Mississippi State

Austin MacGinnis’ 51-yard game winning field goal brings new life to the Kentucky football team as they are now only two wins away from playing in their first bowl game since the 2010 season. To make things even more special, Kentucky has a chance this weekend to pick up their fourth SEC win, which would tie for the most conference wins they have ever had in a season. With two more SEC games left against Georgia and Tennessee, there is a chance the Wildcats could add a new record and record five SEC wins.

ESPN’s Mark Schlabach and Brett McMurphy both have the Wildcats playing in a bowl at the end of the season. Schlabach has the Wildcats playing in the Autozone Liberty Bowl against the TCU Horned Frogs. The Liberty Bowl is in Memphis, Tennessee on December 30. McMurphy has Kentucky playing Temple in the Birmingham Bowl in Birmingham, Alabama on December 29.

We discussed the latest bowl projections and how we see the Wildcats finishing out the rest of the season.
