Big Blue comes up big time as Kentucky blows out Kansas

It was supposed to be a true test for top ranked Kentucky. If it was, then the Cats aced the exam. Twelve Wildcats scored, ten rotated in and out regularly, and top ranked Kentucky made Kansas look like anything but the fifth ranked team in America. UK absolutely destroyed the Jayhawks 72-40 in neutral Indianapolis.
Dakari Johnson had a game high 11 points while Andrew Harrison had 10 points. No other player on either team reached double figures, but the real numbers lie on the defensive side. Kentucky had 11 blocks to Kansas’ three. The Wildcats also had 32 defensive rebounds compared to 22 for the Jayhawks as UK dominated the paint. Finally, UK passed the ball around, finishing with 15 assists to four for KU.
With the victory, Kentucky improves to 3-0 while Kansas falls to 1-1. The Wildcats next game is Friday back at Rupp Arena when Boston University comes to town. The Terriers are 0-1, and play at Norfolk State Wednesday Night before hitting the Commonwealth two days later.
