Baylor Snaps UK's Home Winning Streak

For over three seasons, Rupp Arena has been UK’s safety blanket, giving the Cats an opportunity to get themselves back on track after struggling on the road. But after being embarrassed Thursday in South Bend, the Cats received a rude welcoming in Lexington from the Baylor Bears, who handed John Calipari his first loss at Rupp Arena and snapped UK’s 55-game home winning streak, 64-55.

Much like against Notre Dame, Kentucky struggled to get the ball in the basket and to find any sort of cohesion on offense. Archie Goodwin led the way with 17 points to go with 6 rebounds and 5 assists, but too often found himself driving at the basket trying to creat opportunities that were not there. Nerlens Noel finished the game 3-14 from the field. Kyle Wiltjer was 1-11 and Julius Mays was 2-9.

Be sure to tune in to KSTV Monday at 7:30pm and 11:00pm for a full recap of the game and a preview of UK’s chance to bounce back Tuesday against Samford.
