Awards continue to pour in for UK junior A.J. Reed as the star first baseman and pitcher was named the National Player of the Year by “Collegiate Baseball.” The honor came as no surprise to Reed and his teammates, who are happy to see one their own and the program as a whole getting recognition.

But for the Cats, the major focus is Kansas. The Jayhawks are UK’s first opponent in the Louisville Regional of the NCAA Tournament. Both players and coaches talked about the game, Thursday.
