Auburn takes down Kentucky, 75-70

Last week, John Calipari told reporters, “If your team doesn’t have post presence, then you’re a fraud.” That looked to be the case Saturday afternoon as his Kentucky was knocked off by a sub-.500 Auburn team, marking the school’s first loss to the Tigers since 2000 and only the second loss since 1990.
Despite a big-time performance from point guard Tyler Ulis, who flirted with a triple-double and finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists, the lack of inside presence again doomed the Cats in a road game. The trio of Alex Poythress, Marcus Lee and Skal Labissiere combined for only 13 points and 9 rebounds, with none of their field goals coming on post-ups.
For Auburn, their two stars shined bright, as guard Kareem Canty finished with 26 points and big man Tyler Harris posted a double-double of 21 and 11.
Be sure to watch KSTV on Monday for more analysis of the game and to hear from the players and coaches about how they can get things turned around.
