Alex Poythress could be a key for Kentucky in 2014-15

It’s been a busy off season for the UK basketball team as the guys hope to build on the national runner-up performance from last season.
One of the keys for the Cats might be a player who is somewhat of an unsung hero, Alex Poythress. The rising junior saw his minutes and production dip during 2013, but he made a major impact when the team needed him most in the NCAA Tournament run.
Poythress will now be a key part of the 2014-15 Cats, but the biggest question is where he’ll fit into the lineup. Willie-Cauley Stein and Dakari Johnson will hold down the center position. Marcus Lee, along with incoming freshmen Karl Towns and Trey Lyles will absorb minutes at power forward. So where does Poythress fit in?
While speaking with the media at Camp Rondo, the junior forward said that decision will be up to Coach Cal, but he and the rest of the team are grinding this summer to become the best team possible.
