A screw in Julius Randle's foot puts a wrench in NBA Draft discussions

Reports surfaced Thursday morning from Yahoo! Sports and ESPN that indicated Julius Randle may need foot surgery following the NBA Draft on June 26. The procedure is said to be precautionary, but it relates to a screw that was put into the 6-foot-9 power foward’s foot following a surgery his senior year of high school.
While the Yahoo report said the idea of surgery shouldn’t have an impact on Randle’s draft stock, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman cited an anonymous source who believes it is an issue going forward.
Julius Randle’s mother then reached out to Kyle Tucker with The Courier-Journal, and she denied that anything was wrong and said a surgery has not been scheduled.
Randle himself took to Twitter. He said, “No disrespect but check with the actual source next time before you put something like that out there @WojYahooNBA (Adrian Wojnarowski).”
Believe who you may, but Randle’s draft stock doesn’t appear to be dropping at the moment. Most mock drafts have him being selected anywhere from 5th by the Los Angeles Lakers to 8th by the Sacramento Kings.
