A more realistic SEC tournament change...

John Calipari made headlines at the SEC spring meetings when he said the conference tournament should move to November. This was Calipari’s message that he doesn’t believe the SEC Tournament means anything in it’s current state. You can’t exactly blame him, UK ended up being seeded lower than Texas A&M in the NCAA Tournament after beating the Aggies in the SEC Championship game.

While Calipari’s idea wasn’t taken seriously, there is another change that is gaining traction among SEC coaches and officials. ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported that the coaches have discussed moving the championship game from Sunday to Saturday. We discussed the idea of moving the SEC championship game back a day and what impact that might have.
