UK’s defense faces a big challenge in the offense that Kirby Smart’s Georgia team will bring into the game: Kentucky’s offense also faces off with a Georgia defense that ranks fifth nationally. The Cats are a 22-point underdog at the moment, but they feel good about themselves as they prepare for the game. The annual “Governor’s Cup” match-up between Louisville and Kentucky football will kickoff at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 25. The game will air on SEC Network. Kentucky won 41-38 in last year’s meeting between the two schools, snapping a five-year UofL winning streak against the Wildcats. For the first time since 2009, the UK football team beat the Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville, Tn. After trailing 7-0 early in the game, Kentucky (7-3, 4-3) scored the game’s next 34 points, en route to a 44-21 win over Vandy (4-6, 0-6). One of the big storylines in the game was the Wildcats’ running game. They outrushed the Commodores 232-60 in the match-up. RB Benny Snell accounted for 116 rushing yards on 17 carries. Kentucky ready for Vanderbilt

The Kentucky football team hits the road to take on Vanderbilt Saturday in a battle of SEC East teams. Though the Commodores are winless in conference play this year, Mark Stoops says you can’t fall for the numbers and think the Commodores are going to roll over on Saturday. Stoops also said that the Vanderbilt offense is what concerns him because they’re able to be effective and keep opponents off-balance.  Read more
