Derrick LeBlanc expected to be hired as UK's defensive line coach

02/09/2017 02:18 PM has reported that North Texas defensive line coach Derrick LeBlanc is joining the Kentucky staff in a similar position LeBlanc is replacing Jimmy Brumbaugh, who took a co-defensive coordinator position at Maryland on Sunday. Besides North Texas, LeBlanc has coached at Southern Miss, Wyoming, LSU and Pearl River College.  Read more

Former Kentucky tight end Jacob Tamme is hoping to win his first Super Bowl this weekend as his Atlanta Falcons face the New England Patriots. This is Tamme’s third super bowl appearance with his third team, but he is still looking for his first ring. Tamme helped get the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos each to a Super Bowl. There are multiple signees in Kentucky’s 2017 class that are two-sport athletes in high school. One of those is Tyrell Aijan, a four-star athlete from Mansfield, Ohio. Matt House promoted to Defensive Coordinator

Mark Stoops has made a decision on who he wants to take over the Kentucky defense going forward. Instead of hiring outside of the program, Stoops stayed in-house and promoted inside linebackers/special teams coach Matt House as the new leader of the defense. This is House’s third time serving as a defensive coordinator. SEC Network sideline analyst Cole Cubelic caught the attention of the Big Blue Nation on Tuesday when he posted on twitter that he believes Kentucky’s offensive line was the best in the SEC in 2016.
