Big Blue Madness brought some of the top high school prospects in the country to Lexington over the weekend, including five-star Kentucky targets Bol Bol and Zion Williamson. TJ Walker of Cats Illustrated joined Clayton Abernathy to recap their visits and update their statuses with the Wildcats. Hamidou Diallo named to Jerry West Award Preseason Watch List

Kentucky freshman guard Hamidou Diallo has been named to the preseason watch list for the Jerry West Award, which recognizes the top shooting guard in the country. Diallo is expected to be a major contributor for the young Wildcats. He is one of 20 candidates on the preseason watch list. The watch list will be cut down to 10 players by mid-February. Jarred Vanderbilt's mindset heading into the season

Kentucky freshman forward Jarred Vanderbilt will miss the beginning of the season with a foot injury he suffered in late September. Last week, John Calipari said that Vanderbilt’s injury would be re-evaluated soon and he could return sooner than expected. While injuries like this can be frustrating for athletes, this one isn’t worrying Vanderbilt. “I wouldn’t say it’s frustrating,” said Vanderbilt during last week’s media day. “It’s just another learning experience and everything happens for a reason.” T.J.
