Kentucky hoping for more from Nick Richards

The Cats are also hoping to get freshman big man Nick Richards back on track after he’s struggled the past two games. Against Louisville on Friday, Richards found himself in early foul trouble and scored 4 points in 17 minutes. Then on Sunday against Georgia, Richards again got in foul trouble and played only three minutes against the Bulldogs.  Read more 

Kevin Knox looking to get back on track

If Kentucky is going to get a better outing against LSU Wednesday, they’ll want to get more production from freshman Kevin Knox, who has struggled a bit in the last few games. Against the Bulldogs on Sunday, Knox shot 2 of 10 from the field and scored fewer than ten points for the second straight game and the third in the last five.  Read more

Kentucky had a chance to end 2017 with a conference victory and it did just that. Primed for a letdown after a blowout of in-state rival Louisville, the Wildcats almost gave away a win but found footing late to beat the Bulldogs, 66-61. The annual rivalry game between Kentucky and Louisville seemed to have a different feel in the week leading up to the game and it had a drastically different feel for the 40 minutes the teams were on the floor as the Wildcats blasted the Cardinals, 90-61. The Kentucky men’s basketball team’s seven-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The UCLA Bruins (9-3) were too much for the Wildcats (9-2), winning 83 to 75 in the CBS Sports Classic. The game was tied 39-39 at halftime, but the Bruins pulled away in the second half to get the win.
