There seemed to be a little more pep in the step for the Wildcats today in Rupp Arena as they took on #10 South Carolina but the Gamecocks seemed to have the answer with the return from injury of Senior forward A’ja Wilson. Former Kentucky linebacker Avery Williamson is getting ready for his NFL team’s upcoming playoff game. UK BASEBALL | Pair of Wildcats Named Preseason All-Americans

Kentucky baseball players Sean Hjelle and Tristan Pompey have each been recognized as First-Team Preseason All-Americans by College Baseball and Perfect Game, respectively. Pitcher Sean Hjelle was named a First-Team Preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball and a Third-Team Preseason All-American by Perfect Game. Last season, Hjelle was the SEC Pitcher of the Year after going 11-4 with a 3.89 ERA. He struck out 102 batters in the process. The struggle continues for Kentucky (8-9, 0-3) as they lost their eighth straight on Sunday afternoon to Georgia 42-56. Georgia did not make it easy for Kentucky, as the Bulldogs had 13 blocks and the Wildcats shot a season low 20.4 percent, going 11-of-54 from the field. UK FOOTBALL | Ware Suspended from Music City Bowl

Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops announced on Tuesday that linebacker Denzil Ware has been suspended from this week’s Music City Bowl. Stoops cited a violation of team rules. Ware has 47 total tackles this year, including nine for loss. He is also responsible for 6.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. The Wildcats (7-5) will kickoff their bowl game against No. 21 Northwestern (9-3) at 4:30 p.m. ET Friday inside Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.  Read more 

UK BASKETBALL | Wildcats Drop Second Game of the Season

The Kentucky men’s basketball team’s seven-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The UCLA Bruins (9-3) were too much for the Wildcats (9-2), winning 83 to 75 in the CBS Sports Classic. The game was tied 39-39 at halftime, but the Bruins pulled away in the second half to get the win. Amid the early college football signing period, one name that has Kentucky fans excited: Terry Wilson Jr. Terry “Touchdown” Wilson is a junior college quarterback out of Garden City Community College in Kansas. UK WOMEN'S BASKETBALL | Kentucky loses third in a row

The University of Kentucky women’s basketball struggled defensively against #3 Louisville in Memorial Coliseum on Sunday. Kentucky (8-4) lost to #3 Louisville 87-63 and now have a three game losing streak. Maci Morris led UK with 16 points but most of those points came in the second half when Louisville had command of the game. UK VOLLEYBALL: Kentucky loses to Nebraska 3-1 in Elite Eight

The 2017 Kentucky Wildcats Volleyball team made it farther than any team in UK history had gone before. They fought til the battle was done but the battle did not in end with a victory. The Wildcats lost to Nebraska in four sets: 19-25, 22-25, 27-25 and 22-25. Sophomore Leah Edmond led the team with 20 kills and Senior Ashley Dusek led with 19 digs. UK WOMEN'S BASKETBALL | UK freshman forward Tatyana Wyatt with first career double-double

Kentucky jumped out to a 19-0 lead on their way to the century mark as they defeated Evansville 100-62. The Wildcats outscored Evansville 55-23 in the first half, with junior guard Maci Morris leading the way with 18 points in the half and finishing with 20 for the game with limited minutes in the second half.
