Stanford graduate transfer Reid Travis announced on Wednesday that he will transfer to Kentucky to pursue a master’s degree. John Calipari and the Kentucky men’s basketball team are no stranger to hosting summer camps, but this year was the first time in several years that the team offered satellite camps across the state for kids between 7-17 years old. Kentucky forward PJ Washington has announced he will return to the UK men’s basketball team for his sophomore season. Washington had gone through the NBA Draft process after declaring for this year’s NBA Draft. The University of Kentucky softball team will host the 2018 NCAA Softball Regionals, starting Friday through Sunday of this week. The Wildcats were announced as a host team for the regional tournament during Sunday night’s NCAA Softball Selection Show. The Cats are ranked #19 in USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll and will battle Illinois-Chicago in the second game of the regional tournament at 2:30pm. The Kentucky Wildcats did it again. The No. 4-seeded Wildcats (24-10, 10-8) beat No. 2-seeded Tennessee (25-8, 13-5) on Sunday afternoon to claim their fourth straight SEC Tournament championship. The win gives UK an automatic berth in this year’s NCAA Division I Tournament, although the Wildcats were almost certainly guaranteed to be in the field regardless of the outcome Sunday.
