UK lands its biggest recruit in the Stoops era

By securing a commitment from Warren East (Bowling Green, Ky.) linebacker, Eli Brown, UK football head coach Mark Stoops nabbed the highest-rated prospect during his tenure with the Wildcats. Brown is a rated a four-star by recruiting services, and will look to make a major impact for Cats in the future. He said his connection with the UK staff is one of the biggest reasons he decided to pick the in-state school.  Read more 

Warren East's Eli Brown commits to Kentucky

Four-star linebacker Eli Brown, a junior at Warren East High School in Bowling Green, announced tonight that he’s committed to the University of Kentucky. Brown, who measures in at 6’3” and 195 pounds, is rated as the 8th-best outside linebacker in the class of 2015 and the 110th best prospect overall. He held offers from Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, USC, Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky. He is UK’s fifth commitment for the 2015 class. Read more

Mark Stoops disappointed to see quarterback Jalen Whitlow transfer

UK junior quarterback Jalen Whitlow will transfer, according to UK head coach Mark Stoops. Last year, Whitlow started 8 games for UK and completed 61.6% of his passes for 1,033 yards. Whitlow also rushed for 457 yards and scored 11 total touchdowns. In two years at UK, he started 15 games at quarterback. UK was 2-13 in those games. Clemons, Timmons hope to provide big impact on the football field

The UK football team is steadily progressing through spring practices. One Wildcat who feels the need to prove his worth this off-season is running back Josh Clemons. After a quick start to his freshman season, the 5’10 junior suffered a season ending injury against South Carolina.
