Mark Stoops pleased with his his team's progress in spring camp

With another spring camp now in the books, UK head coach Mark Stoops had a chance to reflect on the progress his team made this year, as well as the strides the program has made since he arrived in Lexington. New video shows EKU player sucker-punching Kentucky quarterback Drew Barker

RICHMOND — New video surfaced online Tuesday night of a January 25 altercation on Eastern Kentucky’s campus, showing an EKU football player sucker-punching Kentucky quarterback Drew Barker on the side of the head. The video shows Barker and fellow UK teammates Tymere Dubose (defensive tackle) and Dorian Baker (wide receiver) entering Telford Hall — an EKU student-housing building — with a woman whom police identify as a student living there. Five years. That’s how long it’s been since the University of Kentucky football team last went to a bowl game. It was the 2010 BBVA Compass Bowl vs. Pittsburg, and the Cats lost 27-10. The “Legion of Boom” may be building a second home in Lexington. Super-Bowl-winning cornerback Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks visited the University of Kentucky earlier this week to instill some of his expertise on the Wildcat defense.
