KSTV plays Playoff Kickoff

For athletes all over the world, music is used as a motivator. Before a game or any sort of competition, you throw on your headphones, listen to your favorite song and get pumped up. BBN First has put together a music competition called the “Kickoff Playoff,” which had eight UK football players select their favorite pre-game song. Fall camp will begin within the next week for almost every college football team, and with that the recruiting trail will cool off a bit. Over the last week though, that hasn’t been the case. In less than one week, the Kentucky football team will report to Fall camp in preparation of the 2014 season. Although they’re coming off a lowly 2-10 record in 2013, hopes are high for these Cats. As several hundred UK fans packed the dining hall at Galt House East in Louisville, Mark Stoops took the podium to address the state of the UK football program. Coming off a 2-10 season, many outside BBN might not expect a ton of positive energy, but that’s the exact opposite from the vibes that surround Kentucky football. Nearly 700 UK fans packed the house for the Greater Louisville UK Alumni Luncheon Friday to meet with football head coach Mark Stoops, along with a number of others associated with the program. Football Fan Day set for BBN

Big Blue Nation will get its first look at the UK football team on Saturday, August 9 at 9 a.m. ET with Kentucky Football Fan Day. Players and coaches will be signing autographs, and fans will also be able to pick up 2014 posters and schedule cards. UK football recruiting continuing to surge through the summer

With 14 recruits committed so far in the class of 2015, Kentucky currently sits at #17 according to’s national recruiting rankings. The Cats snagged the three newest commits over the weekend as part of Friday Night Blue Lights recruiting event. Marcus Walker (2015 three-star safety), Kei Beckham (2015 three-star corner) and Zy’Aire Hughes (2016 athlete) all verbally announced for UK.
