UK football adds preferred walk-on with potential in Kevin Kirby

At 6’6” and 270 pounds, Waggener senior Kevin Kirby is an imposing presence on the football field. But with only two years of football experience, he’s also a raw prospect who still hasn’t scratched his potential on the field. The University of Kentucky had one player taken in the 2016 NFL Draft. He’s Linebacker Josh Forrest, and he was taken by the Rams in the sixth round with the 190th overall pick. Forrest is 6’3” and 249 pounds, and is known for his speed and quickness. He had more than 200 tackles in his two seasons as a starter, but scouts had concerns about his overall strength.
