UK Alumni Charity Game set for August 24

The Kentucky men’s basketball program announced Wednesday that the annual Alumni Charity Game will be held August 24 at 6 p.m. ET. The game will pit a team of UK pros against a team of non-UK pros. Due to NBA restrictions, the school cannot confirm which players will or will not play in the exhibition game ahead of time. Tickets go on sale Monday, July 28 at 10 a.m. ET. Read more 

Cal and Antigua to reunite in 2015 Hall of Fame game

Karl Towns named Gatorade High School Male Athlete of the Year

Even though he’s now enrolled at Kentucky, freshman Karl Towns was honored for his high school accolades with the Gatorade High School Male Athlete of the Year award. As a senior at St. Joseph’s in New Jersey, the 7-footer averaged nearly 21 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks, all while maintaining a high GPA. Many in Big Blue Nation know Towns to be a very well-spoken young man, and his acceptance speech didn’t disappoint.  Read more
