Mackenzie Cann, a 6’1” senior guard from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky is shining in her final season as a Kentucky Wildcat. The Anderson County product was a five-year varsity starter for the Bearcats- going 129-31 during her high school career. She was an all-state player and a Miss Kentucky Basketball finalist. The UK basketball team returns to Rupp Arena on Saturday to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies. Virginia Tech is 9 and 1 on the season and they’re knocking down 47 percent of their threes as a team. The UK basketball team took the floor away from Rupp Arena for only the second time this season when they took on Monmouth Saturday at Rupp Arena. The seventh-ranked Cats came out strong early and took a 54 to 31 lead at the half, thanks in large part to freshman PJ Washington, who scored 16 points in the first 20 minutes….and though the Cats would get outscored in the second half, it was a mostly positive outing in New york. ... Read more

The #7/8 Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team (8-1) defeated the Monmouth Hawks (3-7) Saturday 93-76. The two met for the first time in program history in the Citi Hoops Classic in Madison Square Garden in New York City in front of a crowd of over 10,000. Calipari frustrated in Kentucky's win over Harvard

The UK basketball team picked up another win on Saturday, beating Harvard at Rupp Arena, 79-70. The Cats held a large lead in the second half before the Crimson fought their way back.
