After trailing by as many as nine points late in the second half, No. 1 Kentucky went on a 7-0 run followed by a 16-2 run over the final 5:36 to escape Georgia with a 72-64 victory on Tuesday night in Athens. Freshman Karl-Anthony Towns led the charge for the Wildcats (30-0, 17-0 SEC) with 19 points — 17 of them coming after halftime. Cats blow out #18 Arkansas, improve to 29-0

It had been just over two months since the Kentucky basketball team played a ranked opponent, but the 18th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks looked like all of the teams that had come before them as the Cats cruised to victory. UK jumped out to a 16-point halftime lead at 42-26 and continued the rally in the second half behind Andrew Harrison and Trey Lyles.
