Former UK basketball star Keith Bogans headlines a six-person class of 2014 for the UK Athletics Hall of Fame. Joining Bogans in the Hall are Marty Moore (football, 1990-93), Terry Shumpert (baseball, 1985-87), Pat Etcheberry (track coach and player, 1963-1989), Passion Richardson (1994-97) and Sarah Witten, (tennis, 2000-03). Karl-Anthony Towns will not play for the Dominican team at the World Cup

UK freshman Karl-Anthony Towns will suit up for the Dominican Republic’s national team tonight when they take on Team USA at Madison Square Garden, but that’s where his international run will end this year. Kyle Tucker puts a bow on the Big Blue Bahamas tour

During the six-game stretch of the Big Blue Bahamas tour, the UK basketball team went an impressive 5-1 against professional competition. Using a platoon system, the Cats were able to give each of the players a pretty even workload and leave every guy an opportunity to showcase his talents. UK defeats Dominican Republic team, 83-71

Thanks to 20 points and 5 rebounds from junior Alex Poythress, the UK basketball team easily handled the Dominican Republic’s national team, 83-71, and moved to a perfect 4-0 on their Big Blue Bahamas trip. Radio Ron remembers the life of UK legend, "Wah Wah" Jones

In late July 2014, Big Blue Nation lost a legendary figure in UK athletics. Wallace “Wah Wah” Jones passed away at age 88. Jones played basketball, football, baseball and also ran track during his career at the University of Kentucky. He is most well-known as a member of the 1947-48 “Fabulous Five,” along with Ralph Beard, Alex Groza, Cliff Barker and Kenny Rollins. UK Alumni Game canceled

The UK Alumni Game, originally scheduled for August 24 at Rupp Arena, has been canceled. Fans who purchased tickets will receive a full refund, but will need to return them in-person to the point of purchase. Those that made purchases online or over the phone will be credited back. Of the cancellation, UK head coach John Calipari said, “Unfortunately, due to a number of circumstances out of our control, we are going to have to cancel this year’s game.”... Read more
