UK BASKETBALL | Women's Basketball Program Ranked Top 15 in Attendance Last Season

The UK women’s basketball program ranked 15th in average attendance during the 2017-2018 season, after averaging 5,187 fans per game. it’s the ninth straight year that the Wildcats have ranked in the top 15 in average attendance nationally. The Wildcats played 16 home games last season, three of which took place inside Rupp Arena.  Read more

Stanford graduate transfer Reid Travis announced on Wednesday that he will transfer to Kentucky to pursue a master’s degree. Anthony Davis is in Lexington hosting hosting his first-ever basketball camp at Lexington Christian Academy. The camp, which is for ages 7-11 got underway on Friday and resumes on Saturday. The first of three John Calipari Father/Son Camp’s kicked off in Lexington Friday night. The overnight camp took place on the University of Kentucky campus allowing registered campers the opportunity to participate in instruction from the Kentucky coaches and staff, along with current Wildcat players through detailed skill work and competitions. John Calipari and the Kentucky men’s basketball team are no stranger to hosting summer camps, but this year was the first time in several years that the team offered satellite camps across the state for kids between 7-17 years old. Former University of Kentucky student-athlete and Athletic Director C.M. Newtown passed away Monday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at the age of 88, according to UK. Kentucky forward PJ Washington has announced he will return to the UK men’s basketball team for his sophomore season. Washington had gone through the NBA Draft process after declaring for this year’s NBA Draft. UK Basketball | Cats to head to Bahamas for foreign trip

The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team will head to the Bahamas in August. During the four-game, eight-day trip, UK will train on the island and play four professional teams as it prepares for the 2018-19 season. The Cats will play the Bahamas national team on August 8. Draft Declarations | Jarred Vanderbilt Declares For 2018 NBA Draft

On Friday, University of Kentucky men’s basketball freshman forward Jarred Vanderbilt announced he will submit his name for the 2018 NBA Draft, but will not hire an agent.
