Previewing Kentucky's Running Backs for 2017

With football season right around the season, we continue our position previews tonight by taking a look at Kentucky’s rushing attack, which was one of the best units in the nation last season. The Cats averaged 234.2 rushing yards per game, which ranked 20th nationally and third in the SEC. Kentucky has to replace Boom Williams and Jojo Kemp. Williams rushed for a team high 1170 yards and seven touchdowns last season. Jojo Kemp rushed for 349 yards and six touchdowns.

That means all eyes are on Benny Snell, who is coming off of a historic freshman season. Snell rushed for 1091 yards and 13 Touchdowns, both Kentucky freshman records. Junior Sihiem King and redshirt freshman AJ Rose both had impressive springs and are expected to fill Williams and Kemp’s spots. King is more of a speedster and Rose is more of a bruiser and downhill runner.
