On Thursday, UK Athletics announced that Kentucky had sold all of their available 8,000 tickets for the TaxSlayer Bowl. Following the announcement, the Kentucky ticket office secured more tickets for Wildcats fans and they are available at UKFootballTix.com and TaxSlayerBowl.com. Mark Stoops, DJ Eliot and defensive players met with the media today, and they are extremely appreciative of all the support the Big Blue Nation has shown them as they get ready for Georgia Tech. Senior guard Dominique Hawkins has always taken a backseat to Kentucky’s continuous influx of five-star, one-and-done guards. This year is no different. Hawkins is behind De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk and Isaiah Briscoe in the rotation, but he has actually seen his production increase from last year. Hawkins has doubled his minutes per game (18.0) from last season (9.6). Kentucky bounced back from their loss to UCLA in dominant fashion against Valparaiso on Wednesday night.
