The West Virginia basketball team went out of their way to let it be known that they not only felt good heading into Thursday night’s matchup with Kentucky, but they expected to win. UK Football coaches not happy with Spring Break rust

The University of Kentucky football team resumed spring practices on Wednesday, but after taking a two-week hiatus for Spring Break, the coaching staff was not pleased with the rust the players brought back with them. Fortunately, UK still has nine more scheduled practices for this spring to iron out the miscues before the summer off-season. Craving some springtime football? Then you’re in luck! University of Kentucky football head coach Mark Stoops announced on Wednesday that the team will hold an open practice to fans and media this Saturday. The open practice will start at 10:30 a.m. and will be held on the Tim Couch Practice Fields at the Nutter Training Center. Please explain: How is perfection not enough for Coach of the Year?

Apparently, being perfect isn’t good enough — at least not when it comes to winning Coach of the Year in college basketball. Despite leading Kentucky to the first perfect regular season by a power conference school in nearly 40 years, Kentucky head coach John Calipari did not receive the United States Basketball Writers Association’s Coach of the Year honor.
