Louisville women’s basketball’s historic 2017-2018 season came to an end on Friday night in the Final Four. The No. 1-seeded Cards (36-3) fell in overtime to the No. 1-seeded Mississippi St. Bulldogs (37-1) in their national semifinal match-up. The final score was 73-63. Friday’s game featured 15 lead changes. In an Elite Eight match-up in the Lexington Regional, the Louisville Cardinals women’s basketball team (36-2) defeated the Beaver of Oregon State (26-8) 76-43 for a trip to the Final Four in Columbus, Oh. Junior guard Asia Durr led all scorers with 18 points, four assists and five rebounds.
