WKU lands three-star basketball commit from Lexington

The WKU men’s basketball team received a verbal commitment today from Henry Clay forward Jordan Green. Green is a three-star prospect, according to rivals.com

The 6’ 5” 190-lbs. Green is a first team all-stater who averaged 20.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for 11th Region runner-up Henry Clay. Green also had offers from UNC-Wilmington, EKU, NKU, Troy, UT-Martin and Jacksonville. Jordan plans to sign his official letter of intent this Wednesday.

Western Kentucky has already signed guards Avery Patterson and Derrick Clayton and forward Justin Johnson for the 2014-15 season. Forward Rob Marberry has also committed to play for WKU next season.

WKU also announced that guard Payton Hulsey and forward Aaron Adeoye will not return next season. Adeoye averaged 4.3 rebounds and 3.6 points last season after transferring to Western from John A. Logan College. Hulsey, who averaged 3.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game last season, originally signed with Lipscomb out of Southwind High in Memphis before landing in Bowling Green.
