Navy’s triple-option offense has become one of the most feared attacks for opposing defenses, as the Hilltoppers unfortunately discovered during their 40 to 14 loss against the Midshipmen last weekend. WKU has started the season zero for two, but head coach Willie Taggart says he doesn’t expect his Toppers to stay winless for long.

Taggart also says his team cannot underestimate their upcoming opponent, Indiana State, who squeaked by Butler last weekend 48 to 34. Taggart says his team knows what’s at stake, and will do anything to land their first win of the season.

Indiana State has made several improvements over the years, and Taggart says his team is watching a lot of film to prepare themselves for the game. Indiana State shows a lot of confidence, and Taggart says, that may be their Achilles Heel.

Taggart also says that both losses this year have been out-of-conference games, and that the team’s preseason goal of a Sun Belt Conference championship is still on the table.
