WKU FOOTBALL | So who will take over at Quarterback?

It was only a few months ago that Quarterback Brandon Doughty was throwing for more than five thousand yards and nearly 50 touchdowns, in leading WKU to a Conference USA championship and Miami Beach Bowl victory. Doughty is gone, preparing for this week’s NFL Draft. So who will take over for him behind center?

There are four candidates in Sophomore Drew Eckles, Junior Mike White, Senior Nelson Fishback and Grad Transfer Tyler Ferguson. All four had flashes of greatness in last weekend’s Red-White Scrimmage, but the quartet have been told by Head Coach Jeff Brohm that there is still a lot to work on.

We spoke with longtime Hilltoppers Beat Reporter Chad Bishop to discuss the Western’s Football team moving forward.
