In the minds of many Western Kentucky basketball fans, Courtney Lee is already one of the program’s all-time greats. Thursday night at E.A. Diddle Arena, the former Hilltopper guard will have his legacy cemented when the school retires his number 32 jersey.
During his four-year career at Western, Lee averaged nearly 18 points per game. As a senior, he was named the Sun Belt Player of the Year and led the Toppers to the Sweet 16.
For the WKU players and coaches, it’s exciting to have one of the team’s legends return and be honored in such a way.
