What worries Wichita State most about UofL?

ATLANTA — Two words: the press.

That’s what Wichita State players and coach Gregg Marshall are most concerned about heading into Saturday evening’s national semifinals.

But as Marshall noted, Ohio State entered the Elite Eight game against the Shockers last weekend heavily favored because of their press. And Wichita State dominated for much of the game.

Marshall told reporters about his expectations for breaking the press, while Shockers point guard Ron Baker talked about quickness of the UofL guard tandem of Russ Smith and Peyton Siva, who will pose a challenge for Baker and the Shockers’ backcourt.

Wichita State forward Carl Hall said he and fellow Shockers big-man Cleanthony Early need to help out the guards to break the press and take away the weapon of UofL’s speedy, athletic guards.

As for the Cards? They’re respectful of the Cinderella and this Big Dance. But worried?

Not so much, according to Chane Behanan. Here’s what Coach Rick Pitino, Behanan and Siva had to say about handling the Shockers and whether the emotional loss of Kevin Ware because of his injury will hamper the Cards:
