The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are looking ahead to a very important game Thursday night against the Texas State Bobcats. The Hilltoppers currently sit at second in the Sun Belt Conference standings, two games behind Georgia State, and one game ahead of Arkansas State. With just four games left before the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, every game matters for Conference standings.

WKU Head Coach Ray Harper will be looking to his starting juniors, guard T.J. Price and forward George Fant, but also to players like senior forward O’Karo Akamune and redshirt junior guard Trency Jackson for the winning combination against the Bobcats.

This is a rematch of the Toppers’ earlier matchup against Texas State on February 1. WKU won the first meeting 68-64, including a team-leading effort from Fant who had 21 points. The first meeting should serve as a good barometer for WKU’s resiliency against this TSU team, the Bobcats led 30-27 at the half.

Tonight’s game starts at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
