California Chrome, the odds-on favorite to take home the roses one week from Saturday, gave racing fans a thrill last week during a workout at Los Alamitos race course in California.

Exercise rider William Delgado galloped the colt while wearing a helmet camera, allowing racing fans to feel the thrill of sitting atop the Santa Anita Derby winner.

California Chrome, a chestnut colt out of Lucky Pulpit, is 3-0 in 2014 after winning the Santa Anita Derby (Gr. I) on April 5. California Chrome, who is trained by Art Sherman and ridden by Victor Espinoza, is scheduled to arrive in Louisville next Monday, April 28.
