Seniors on the UofL Volleyball team got a pleasant surprise when they found out the NCAA chose Louisville as one of the host sites for the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Erin Fairs, Katie George and Roxanne McVey all thought they had played their final home match a few weeks ago on senior day. However, now they’ll get to play at least one more in front of the their home fans.

The Volleyball Cards are coming off their first Atlantic Coast Conference Title in school history and despite a loss to Syracuse in their final match of the season, the team is hopeful that they can end their season as national champions.

UofL has a 24-6 record on the year and will face Ohio Valley Conference Champion Belmont in the round of 64. The opening match will take place 7 p.m. Friday at Cardinal Arena.
