UofL's backcourt leads the way in win over Indiana
12/10/2014 12:57 AM
Terry Rozier scored a career high 26 points, and Chris Jones added 24 points and nine rebounds as the UofL backcourt scored more than half Louisville’s points, in a 94-74 victory over Indiana. Forward Montrezl Harrell added a double-double (21 points and 11 rebounds) as the 4th ranked Cardinals improve their record to 8-0 on the
season. The game was played in New York City as part of the Jimmy V Classic.
Louisville saw their double digit lead evaporate early in the second half as Indiana used a 19-2 run to gain a temporary advantage. However the Cards used a 10-0 run of their own to re-gain the lead and this time keep it. The Cards defense was double tough, forcing 19 Hoosiers turnovers, and outrebounding Indiana by 20.
Louisville will be heavy favorites in its next three games (Sunday vs UNC-Wilmington, Dec 20th at Western Kentucky and Dec 23rd vs Cal State Northridge). So Louisville should be a perfect 11-0 when top ranked Kentucky comes to the YUM Center on Saturday December 27th. The Cards next game, Sunday against UNC-Wilmington, tips off at 6 pm.
