UofL Pitchers Key to Super Regional Success

Louisville Baseball has three pitchers who can start on any given day. Not only can they work the strike zone, they also go deep in the game taking stress off the bullpen.
Kyle Funkhouser, Brendan McKay and Josh Rogers each went at least seven innings in their respective starts in last weekend’s regional round of the NCAA Tournament and each of them allowed only two runs. With a stingy defense behind them, the Cards could have the best pitching staff in the country.
While UofL is enjoying their on-field success so far this post season, they know they can’t lose focus of their ultimate goal: winning the College World Series. As the Cards prepare to face Cal State Fullerton in the upcoming NCAA Super Regional, cn|2’s Bruce Snyder and Tony Rawlings break down the pitchers’ performances in the opening round.
