UofL FOOTBALL | Why practice makes perfect

12/13/2015 06:00 PM

One of the bonuses of playing in a bowl game, is a team getting an extra month to practice. Until the last week or so, most of the extra reps are not about game planning the opponent, but rather working on the fundamentals.

When UofL meets Texas A&M in the Music City Bowl, look for Linebacker Stacy Thomas to make an impact. The Red Shirt Sophomore has been putting in extra time studying his techniques. That will be especially handy this time around since former Aggies starting quarterback Kyle Allen has announced he is transferring. Look for Thomas and the Cards to be trying to shut down A&M Freshman QB Kyler Murray.

The Music City Bowl is on Wednesday night December 30th at 7pm ET. The Cards go in at 7-5 while the Aggies are 8-4. Texas A&M is favored by two points.
