UofL FOOTBALL | How and why the offense is really clicking

04/12/2016 06:30 AM

As the Louisville Cardinals enter their final week of Spring Football, the offense has really been clicking. In last weekend’s scrimmage, which had the first team offense against the second team defense and the second team offense against the starters on defense, the Cards scored touchdowns on 13 different possessions.

Among the players who accounted for scores were wide outs Jamari Staples, Traveon Samuel, Ja’Quay Savage, and James Quick along with tight ends Micky Crum and Charles Standberry. Cole Hikutini did not score but also was impressive in the practice session.

It is all leading up to Saturday’s Spring Football game which kicks off at 1 pm. Head Coach Bobby Petrino tells us the entire offense as a unit, has caught his eye.
