UofL FOOTBALL | Cards snag another recruit out of SEC territory

LOUISVILLE – The University of Louisville 2016 class added another promising talent last night with the commitment of three star safety Lamarques Thomas. Recruited by UofL’s Terrell Buckley, Thomas is the 19th verbal commit of the Cards’ 2016 class choosing Louisville over Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Missouri.

The safety out of Clinton, MS is another recruit that Louisville has managed to steal away from SEC country. Thomas is listed as the 12th best player in Mississippi according to Rivals.com.

The Safety position will surely be a strength of the Louisville Defense in years to come. Thomas is the second safety to commit to the Cards for 2016 along with Seth Dawkins. Dee smith and Khane Pass put on the Cardinal colors this season, and Chucky Williams is starting as a sophomore.
