The bye week blues are over for Louisville fans, because it is game week once again for the football team. The Cards host Duke University Friday, October 14th at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, and it is the first game at home for U of L in nearly a month.

Louisville has had a full week to digest their 42-36 loss to Clemson, a game that came down to the very end. In the closing seconds, Cardinal quarterback Lamar Jackson completed a short pass across the middle to senior James Quick who ran out of bounds short of the first down. It was fourth down and the Cards turned the ball over on downs, ending the game after Clemson kneeled out the remaining clock.

After the loss, head coach Bobby Petrino was short winded in his responses to the media and had yet to watch the film on the final play. But after more than a week to study the game, he did speak out today about the final play call.
