UofL FOOTBALL | A mature Lamar Jackson is scary for opponents

Card fans watched as Lamar Jackson took his bumps before figuring things out and leading Louisville to a Music City Bowl victory over Texas A&M last season. This was a true freshman who didn’t even know the playbook according to Coach Petrino.

Now, after an off-season spent learning that very same playbook, Lamar has looked like a seasoned veteran tallying big numbers in the spring game back in April.

The Cards kick off their season this Thursday and Jackson is chomping at the bit for some game action. He will be facing a Charlotte defense that gave up an average of 36 points per game last season.
