Tallahassee- The first half was a defensive struggle. The second half was anything but. The Cardinals were clinging to a 7-6 lead after holding talented FSU running back Delvin Cook to a measly 38 yards rushing in the first half but watched the ‘noles score at will in in the second half as Florida State pulled away to a 41-21 victory Saturday.

Cook finished the day with 163 yards and 2 touchdowns. Seminole QB Everett Golson threw for 372 yards and 3 TDS. The Louisville offense, which at times looked as sharp as it has all season, shot itself in the foot with 2 straight 3rd quarter turnovers that led to FSU touchdowns.

On the day, Lamar Jackson finished with his best day as a Card. Connecting on 20-35 passes for 307 yards and 3 TDs. Jackson also carried the ball 19 times for another 32 yards. James Quick hauled in all three of Jacksons TDs

Louisville falls to 2-4 on the season and 1-2 in the ACC. Next up for the Cards is Boston College. Game time is set for 12:30p at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium next Saturday.
